Operate Scissor Lift

This course will equip trainees with basic skills, knowledge and attitudes to this MEWP(Mobile Elevated Work Platform) safely via the following modules:

 

 

 

 

  • CE1: Prepare to carry out scissor lift operations

  • CE2: Carry out scissor lift operations

  • CE3: Conduct post-operation of scissor lifts

 

 

  •  

Duration

  • 9.25 hours 9am to 6:15pm
    (includes theory, practical and assessment)

Learners must be above 18 years of age and are assumed to:

• Have a basic knowledge of the relevant sector of work
• Be able to listen and speak English at a proficiency level equivalent to the Employability Skills (ES) level 3
• Be able to read and write English at a proficiency level equivalent to ES level 3
• Be able to manipulate numbers at a proficiency level equivalent to ES level 3; and
• Be medically fit to work at height

When working from a scissors type MEWP, it is strongly recommended that a full body harness with an adjustable lanyard be used to provide work restraint, the lanyard should be adjusted to be as short as possible and may contain an energy absorbing device.
