Warehouses and distribution centres across Singapore rely on reach trucks to maximise storage capacity, safely handle palletised loads at height, and operate efficiently within narrow warehouse aisles. Because reach trucks are specialised material handling equipment capable of lifting heavy loads several metres above ground, operators must be properly trained before using them in the workplace.
The Operate Reach Truck Course provides the knowledge, practical skills, and safety awareness required to operate a reach truck safely, efficiently, and in accordance with workplace safety requirements. Through a combination of classroom learning and practical hands-on training, participants learn how to conduct pre-operation inspections, assess workplace hazards, maintain vehicle stability, handle loads correctly, and safely stack and retrieve pallets within high-racking systems.
Training is delivered by experienced and certified instructors using industry-standard equipment in realistic warehouse scenarios. Participants develop competence in essential operating techniques, including manoeuvring in confined spaces, load positioning, reversing safely, battery charging procedures, emergency response, and daily equipment inspections. Strong emphasis is placed on hazard recognition, accident prevention, and safe work practices to reduce the risk of injury, product damage, and equipment failure.

All warehouse/logistics employees are recommended to attend this course and gain competency in operating the reach truck.
Candidates are reminded to bring their own steel capped safety shoes for practical training sessions.
