The Diploma in Electrical Engineering has been specially designed to:

  • Provide a progression pathway for students with keen interest to pursue a career in engineering
  • Impart the knowledge and abilities required for students to eventually pursue a formal undergraduate education

Academic Minimum Entry Requirement:

• Obtained at least 3 GCE ‘O’ levels with a pass in English.
OR
• Mature candidate, aged at least 25 years old and above with 3 years of working experience, and obtain a passing score of 80% in AAT Training Hub’s entry proficiency test

Language Requirement:

• Obtained GCE ‘O’ Level with at least Grade C6 in English
Language; or
• Obtained WPLN Level 5 (Average of Reading, Listening,
Speaking and Writing Scores); or
• Obtained IELTS 5.0 or equivalent (Applicable for International Students)

Regional students can refer to the following that we accept as equivalent to IELTS5.0

Malaysia: SPM English Grade C / UEC English Grade B6
Indonesia: SMA (Senior Secondary School) English Grade 7.0+/10
Vietnam: Upper Secondary Graduation Diploma English Grade 6.0+/10
Bangladesh: HSC (Higher Secondary Certificate) English Grade B (60-69%)
Philippines: High School Diploma with English Grade C or better
India: CBSE/ICSE/State Board English 60% and above
Sri Lanka: GCE O-Level English Grade C or better
Thailand: Matayom 6 (M.6) English Grade 2.5+/4.0
