Fire safety is a critical component of workplace health and safety protocols. Our Fire Warden / In-House Fire Safety Awareness Course is designed to equip your staff with the essential knowledge and practical skills required to prevent, detect, and manage fire incidents effectively.
While many assume fire safety is simply about knowing where the exit is, true preparedness involves understanding the chemistry of fire, recognizing hazards before they ignite, and knowing exactly how to react under pressure. This course goes beyond the basics, ensuring that your designated fire wardens and general staff are competent in protecting both lives and property.
Our trainers will teach you not only how to operate a fire extinguisher safely at your workplace but also how to lead an evacuation and perform a proper fire risk assessment.
Workplace fires can be devastating, leading to loss of life, significant property damage, and business closure. Having trained personnel on-site is often a legal requirement.
By enrolling in this fire safety course, participants will:
We cover a comprehensive syllabus designed to turn beginners into competent safety personnel.
We begin by covering the necessary legal frameworks. Participants will learn about the local fire codes and the responsibilities of a fire warden. Understanding these regulations ensures your company remains compliant and avoids costly penalties.
To fight a fire, you must understand it. We explain the “Fire Triangle” (Fuel, Heat, and Oxygen) and how removing one element can extinguish a blaze. We also categorize different classes of fire (Class A, B, C, D, F) so participants know which suppression method to use.
Prevention is better than cure. We teach participants how to spot potential risks—such as overloaded circuits or improper chemical storage—and how to mitigate them. We also cover suppression systems, including sprinklers and hose reels.
Participants will learn how to conduct a basic risk assessment. This involves walking through a facility to identify hazards, evaluating the risk level, and documenting findings to improve overall fire safety.
In the event of an alarm, chaos is the enemy. We train your staff on how to conduct an orderly evacuation, how to sweep areas to ensure everyone is out, and how to manage the assembly area efficiently.
Theory is useless without practice. This unit includes hands-on training where participants handle fire extinguishers. They will learn the P.A.S.S. method (Pull, Aim, Squeeze, Sweep) to ensure they can operate equipment confidently during a real emergency.
Upon completion, participants will have total fire safety awareness and know how to work together as a cohesive unit during a fire incident.
Assessment: Participants will undergo a theory assessment and a practical performance test.
Certification: Successful candidates will receive a certificate of completion valid for 1 year.
